Gooey Butter Cookies

(This picture doesn't do these cookies justice.  These were eaten so quickly I only had time to snap a picture of the last lonely cookie.)

Submitted by Klixi Cannon

1/2 cup butter (1 stick)

8 oz cream cheese (I used Strawberry Cream Cheese)

1 egg

1 Yellow Cake Mix

1/2 tsp vanilla

Powdered Sugar

Let butter and cream cheese soften. Add cake mix, egg and vanilla. Mix until everything is moist. Refrigerate 30 minutes until dough is firm. Roll cookie balls in powdered sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden.

Hi, I would love to make these Gooey Butter Cookies but for the life of me I can't figure out what a cube of butter is. Is it 2 tablespoons or a whole stick of butter. Depending on where you are from it can mean either.

Thanks for share such a yummy sounding recipe!

Sorry about that, Dena! I guarantee you're going to need more than 2 TBS of butter for these cookies. :) I'll make the change.
